Importing Hebcal calendar data into Google Calendar

Here is how to add hebcal.com customized holiday calendars to Google Calendar.

1. Go to http://www.hebcal.com/hebcal/
2. Fill out the form with your preferences and click the "Get Calendar" button
3. Click on the "Export calendar to Outlook, Apple iCal, Google, Palm, etc." link
4. Look for an image like this in the "Export calendar" section of your customized calendar results:

   

5. When Google Calendar asks "Would you like to add calendar: Jewish Holidays?" click "Yes, add this calendar"

If you're having difficulty using the Google Calendar instructions above, here is an alternative technique to try that replaces the "subscribe" step with downloading and uploading.

1. Go to http://www.hebcal.com/hebcal/
2. Fill out the form with your preferences and click the "Get Calendar" button
3. Click on the "Export calendar to Outlook, Apple iCal, Google, Palm, etc." link
4. Click on the "download" link in the "Apple iCal (and other iCalendar-enabled applications)" section
5. Go to Google Calendar
6. Click the Add down-arrow button at the bottom of the calendar list on the left side of the page, and select Import Calendar
7. Click Browse and choose the file that contains your events, then click Open
8. Select the Google Calendar where you'd like to import events, then click Import
