Shabbat Nachamu for Hebrew Year 5850 begins at sundown on Friday, 11 August 2090 and ends at nightfall on Saturday, 12 August 2090.

Shabbat Nachamu (“Sabbath of comfort” שבת נחמו) takes its name from the haftarah from the Book of Isaiah 40:1-26 that speaks of comforting the Jewish people for their suffering. It is the first of seven haftarahs of consolation read over the seven weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Shabbat Nachamu falls immediately after Tisha B’Av, and communities traditionally celebrate with singing, dancing, and festive meals.
